Playing in Performance ModeA performance contains settings that apply to each individual part,such as the patch (rhythm set) assigned to each part, and its volumeand pan.Broadly speaking, Performance mode consists of two screens: Layerscreen and Mixer screen.Use the Layer screen when you want to combine multiple sounds(patches or rhythm sets) to create complex sounds. This lets you playpatches together (“layer”) or play different patches in separate areasof the keyboard (“split”).Use the Mixer screen when you want to mix the sounds by adjustingthe level and pan for each of 16 parts.When you play the keyboard, you will hear the current part and theparts whose keyboard switch has a check mark.In addition to the settings of each part, the following settings canalso be stored for each performance.• Controller settings such as the D Beam, realtime control knobs,assignable switches, and pads• Arpeggio and chord memory settings• Rhythm group numberDisplaying PerformanceMixer ScreenTo access the Performance Mixer screen, use the followingprocedure.1.
