Creating a Rhythm SetAdjusting the Volume (TVA/TVAEnv)fig.07-013_50Random Pan Depth 3Use this parameter when you want the stereo location to changerandomly each time you press a key. Higher settings will produce agreater amount of change.Value: 0–63This will affect only waves whose Wave Rnd Pan Sw parameter(p. 90) is ON.Alternate Pan Depth4TVAFor details on these settings, refer to “How to make RhythmSet settings” (p. 83).Tone Level (Rhythm Tone level) 1Sets the volume of the rhythm tone. Use this parameter to adjust thevolume balance between rhythm tones.Value: 0–127The volume levels of the Waves from which the rhythm tone iscomposed is set with the WMT1–4 Wave Level parameter (p.90).Level V-Curve (Level Velocity Curve)You can select from seven curves that determine how keyboardplaying strength will affect the volume. If you do not want thevolume of the rhythm tone to be affected by the force with whichyou press the key, select “FIXED.”Value: FIXED, 1–7fig.06-0361 2 3 4 5 6 7Level V-Sens (Level Velocity Sensitivity)Set this when you want the volume of the rhythm tone to changedepending on the force with which you press the keys. Set this to apositive (+) value to have the changes in rhythm tone volumeincrease the more forcefully the keys are played; to make the toneplay more softly as you play harder, set this to a negative (-) value.Value: -63– +63Tone Pan (Rhythm Tone Pan) 2Sets the pan for the rhythm tone. “L64” is far left, “0” is center, and“63R” is far right.Value: L64–0–63RThis setting causes panning to be alternated between left and righteach time a key is pressed. Higher settings will produce a greateramount of change. “L” or “R” settings will reverse the order inwhich the pan will alternate between left and right. For example iftwo rhythm tones are set to “L” and “R” respectively, the panning ofthe two rhythm tones will alternate each time they are played.Value: L63–0–63RThis will affect only waves whose Wave Alter Pan Swparameter (p. 90) is ON or REV.TVA EnvA-Env T1 V-Sens (TVA Envelope Time 1Velocity Sensitivity)This allows keyboard dynamics to affect the Time 1 of the TVAenvelope. If you want Time 1 to be speeded up for strongly playednotes, set this parameter to a positive (+) value. If you want it to beslowed down, set this to a negative (-) value.Value: -63– +63A-Env T4 V-Sens (TVA Envelope Time 4Velocity Sensitivity)The parameter to use when you want key release speed to controlthe Time 4 value of the TVA envelope. If you want Time 4 to bespeeded up for quickly released notes, set this parameter to apositive (+) value. If you want it to be slowed down, set this to anegative (-) value.Value: -63– +63A-Env Time 1–4 (TVA Envelope Time 1–4) 1 ,2 , 4Specify the TVA envelope times (Time 1– Time 4). Higher settingswill lengthen the time until the next volume level is reached. (Forexample, Time 2 is the time over which Level 1 will change to Level2.)Value: 0–127Set the Pan for Waves comprising the rhythm tones with theWave Pan parameter (p. 90).94
