Creating a Rhythm SetWave Fine TuneAdjusts the pitch of the waveform’s sound up or down in 1-centsteps (+/-50 cents).Value: -50– +50One cent is 1/100th of a semitone. The Fine Tune of the entire rhythm tone is set by the Tone FineTune parameter (p. 91).Wave LevelYou can set the volume of the waveform.Value: 0–127The volume level of each rhythm tone is set with the Tone Levelparameter; the volume levels of the entire rhythm set is set withthe Rhythm Level parameter (p. 87).Wave PanThis specifies the pan of the waveform. “L64” is far left, “0” is center, and “63R” is far right.Value: L63–0–63RWave Rnd Pan Sw(Wave Random Pan Switch)Use this setting to cause the waveform’s panning to changerandomly each time a key is pressed (ON) or not (OFF).Value: OFF, ON43* The range of the panning change is set by the Rnd Pan Depthparameter (p. 94).WMT Velocity Control (Velocity Control Switch)WMT Velocity Control determines whether a different rhythm toneis played (ON) or not (OFF) depending on the force with which thekey is played (velocity). When set to “RND,” the rhythm set’s constituent rhythm tones willsound randomly, regardless of any Velocity messages.Value: OFF, ON, RANDOMWave Alter Pan Sw(Wave Alternate Pan Switch)2Velo Fade Lower (Velocity Fade Width Lower)This determines what will happen to the tone’s level when the toneis played at a velocity lower than its specified velocity range. Highersettings produce a more gradual change in volume. If you wantnotes played outside the specified key velocity range to not besounded at all, set this to “0.”Value: 0–127Velo Range Lower (Velocity Range Lower)This sets the lowest velocity at which the waveform will sound.Make these settings when you want different waveforms to sound inresponse to notes played at different strengths.Value: 1–UPPERVelo Range Upper (Velocity Range Upper)This sets the highest velocity at which the waveform will sound.Make these settings when you want different waveforms to sound inresponse to notes played at different strengths.Value: LOWER–127If you attempt to set the Lower velocity limit above the Upper,or the Upper below the Lower, the other value willautomatically be adjusted to the same setting.Velo Fade Upper (Velocity Fade Width Upper)This determines what will happen to the tone’s level when the toneis played at a velocity greater than its specified velocity range.Higher settings produce a more gradual change in volume. If youwant notes played outside the specified key velocity range to not besounded at all, set this to “0.”Value: 0–127fig.06-028.eLevelVelocityFade LowerFade UpperRange LowerRange UpperModifying Pitch (Pitch/Pitch Env)fig.07-011_50This setting causes panning of the waveform to be alternatedbetween left and right each time a key is pressed. Set Alternate PanSwitch to “ON” to pan the Wave according to the Alter Pan Depthparameter (p. 94) settings, or to “REV” when you want the panningreversed. If you do not want the panning to change each time a keyis pressed, set this to “OFF.”Range: OFF, ON, REVFor details on these settings, refer to “How to make RhythmSet settings” (p. 83).90
