Playing in Patch ModeAuditioning Patches(Phrase Preview)The Fantom-X allows you to preview patches by hearing a phraseappropriate for each type of patch.1. Press [PATCH/RHYTHM] to access the Patch Play screen.2. Press [F1 (Patch List)] to access the Patch List screen.fig.05-009_50Creating a list of frequentlyused Patches andPerformances (Live Setting)You can create a list of frequently used sounds, and recall theminstantly. Since you can register Patches, Rhythm Sets, orPerformances, any type of sound you need can be recalled instantlyregardless of the mode.Each list (bank) can store a total of sixteen patches, rhythm sets, andperformances. You can create twenty of these banks.For example, you might use bank 1 to list up to sixteen sounds thatyou use in the first song of your live set.Recalling sounds1. Press [MENU] to open the Menu window.3. Press and hold [F7 (Preview)].The patch selected in the Patch List screen will be sounded.2. Either turn the VALUE dial or press or to select“Live Setting Play,” and then press [ENTER].fig.05-001b_50The Live Setting Play screen appears.4. Release your finger from [F7 (Preview)], and the phrase willstop playing.If you wish to change how the phrase is played by PhrasePreview, you can edit the Preview Mode parameter (p. 232).You can also hold down [SHIFT] and press [PIANO MODE] toaccess the Live Setting Play screen.3. Press or to select the bank that you want to recall.4. Press [F1 (1)]–[F8 (8)] to select the step number that youwant to recall.To select 9–16, hold down [SHIFT] and press [F1 (9)]–[F8 (16)].The selected sound will be recalled.Alternatively, in step 4 of this procedure, you can use [INC]/[DEC] to step through the sounds by moving to the next (orprevious) step number.In step 4 of this procedure, you can also use or to selectthe step number. In this case, the sound will not change untilyou press [ENTER].42
