Overview of the Fantom-XAbout the Function ButtonsThe eight [F1]–[F8] buttons (function buttons) located below thedisplay execute various functions, and their operation will differdepending on the screen. Functions will be listed in the bottom of thescreen.fig.04-017Moving the CursorA single screen or window displays multiple parameters or items forselection. To edit the setting of a parameter, move the cursor to thevalue of that parameter. To select an item, move the cursor to thatitem. When selected with the cursor, a parameter value or otherselection is highlighted.fig.04-019.eCursorMove the cursor with the , , and (cursor buttons).fig.04-020WindowThe somewhat smaller screens that appear temporarily on topof the normal screens are called windows. Various types ofwindows appears according to the situation. Some display lists,others allow you to make settings, and still others ask you toconfirm an operation.fig.04-018.e: moves the cursor up.: moves the cursor down.: moves the cursor to the left.: moves the cursor to the right.If you hold down one cursor button while you also press thecursor button for the opposite direction, the cursor will movemore rapidly in the direction of the first-pressed cursor button.WindowWhen the cursor is displayed, pressing [ENTER] will sometimesdisplay a list of the available choices for that parameter. This isconvenient when you want to see what your choices are. Whenthe list is displayed, you can also use the pads to input yourchoice. (p. 35)Press [EXIT] to close the window.
