Settings Common to All Modes (System Function)System CtrlSys Ctrl 1–4 SourceSystem Control Assign selects the MIDI message used as the SystemControl.System ControlThis function, which departs from previously used methods, and instead allows you to use MIDI messages to change tonesettings in realtime, is called the Matrix Control (p. 80).Similarly, the function allowing you to use MIDI messages tochange multi-effects settings in realtime is called the MultieffectsControl (p. 214).Normally, the Matrix Control is used for making patch settings, and the Multi-effects Control for making settings to patches, rhythm sets, and performances. However, if you do not need tochange the MIDI messages used for matrix control or multieffectscontrol by each patch/rhythm set/performance, or ifyou want to use a specific MIDI message for matrix control ormulti-effects control, you will want to make use of SystemControl. In other words, you could call the System Controlsglobal Matrix Control/Multi-effects Control for the entireFantom-X.You can use up to four System Controls.ValueOFF:The system control knob will not be used.CC01–31, 33–95: Controller numbers 1–31, 33–95For details on control change messages, refer to “MIDIImplementation” (p. 298).PITCH BEND: Pitch BendAFTERTOUCH: AftertouchBackgroundBackground PictureSelect the file that is to be displayed as the screen background.Value:1–16Screen SaverScreen Saver TypeSamplingDefault File TypeSpecifies the file format used when saving a sample.Value: WAV, AIFFPre Sample TimeThe length of sound preceding the moment at which sampling wasmanually or automatically initiated that will be captured in thesample.
