This section explains how to make settings forthe System functions and describes the functions of the differentSystem parameters.How to Make SystemFunction SettingsSaving the System Settings(System Write)Changes you make to the System function settings are onlytemporary—they will be discarded as soon as the power is turnedoff. If you want to keep any changes you’ve made in the systemsettings, you must save them in internal system memory.1. Press [MENU] to open the Menu window.2. Press or to select “System,” and then press[ENTER].fig.25-001_50The System Setup screen appears.When you perform the save procedure, the data that previouslyoccupied the save destination will be lost. However, the factorysetting data can be recovered by performing the Factory Resetprocedure.1. Change the system function settings, and press [F8(System Write)].fig.25-002_503. Press Function button [F3], [F4] to select the tab of the editgroup.• [F3 (Setup)]Set system parameters (p. 226).• [F4 (Info)]View system information (p. 234).The display will indicate “System Write Completed!” The datawill be saved, and you’re returned to the System Setup screen.4. The parameters are organized into several edit groups. Use[F1 (⇑)][F2 (⇓)] to switch tabs.5. Use [CURSOR] to move the cursor to the parameter youwish to modify.When the cursor is located at a parameter value, you can press[ENTER] to access a window for setting the value.• When all the parameters cannot be shown within a singlesettings screen, a scroll bar will be displayed at the right side ofthe screen. In such cases, press to scroll the screendownward.6. Turn the VALUE dial or press [INC]/[DEC] to get the valueyou want.7. Repeat steps 4–6 to set each System parameter you want toedit.8. To save the settings you modified, press [F8 (SystemWrite)] and perform the Write operation. If you do not wantto save, press [EXIT] to return to the previous screen.225
