Getting ReadyTurning On the PowerOnce the connections have been completed (p. 19), turn on power to your various devices inthe order specified. By turning on devices in the wrong order, you risk causing malfunctionand/or damage to speakers and other devices.fig.bender.e1. Before turning on the Fantom’s power, consider these two questions:• Are all peripheral devices connected correctly?• Have the volume controls of the Fantom-X and all connected audio devices beenturned to their lowest settings?941To ensure proper operation ofthe pitch bend lever, makesure not to touch the leverwhen turning the Fantom-X’spower on.2. Turn on the POWER ON switch located on the rear panel of the Fantom-X.fig.02-003Do not touch!* This unit is equipped with a protection circuit. A brief interval (a few seconds) after powerup is required before the unit will operate normally.Be careful not to set yourlistening volume too high toavoid damage to your amp/speaker system or your942hearing.3. Turn on the power for any connected amplifiers or speakers.4.
