The Haupts lost their longtime boat, SummerFun. Rick Haupt took it all in stride, reporting that while he and his family are saddened at the loss of their boat, which broughtthem many great memories on the Metedeconk...she was just a boat, and no one was hurt. Ironically, Rick mentioned that he believesthat the poolside bar he helped build likely created a wind tunnel that blew all the snow from that area right onto the back ofSummer Fun, contributing to her sinking.
