Volume 31 Issue 1Welcome to 2011. This shouldbe a very exciting and rewarding year asour Club celebrates its 75 th Anniversary. The planning started early last springamong some of our more resourceful volunteeringmembers, and I for one amlooking forward to a great year.I am very thankful and happy towelcome back my incredible MermateBoard, all whom have given our Clubtheir best efforts in the past years. TheClub is fortunate to have you all contributingyour knowledge, time and enthusiasmto make our days here so fulfilling. The Mermates had a fabulousfinish to 2010. The November bus trip toNew York City to see West Side Storywas sold out early in the year. No oneminds getting stuck in traffic whenthey’re not doing the driving and it is aparty the whole way. This trip was noexception, so thanks to Colette Commissofor continuing to organize our culturalsocials. The 9 th Annual Trim-A-TreeFestival was organized by Suzanne Brow520 Main AvenueBay Head, NJ 08742Bus: 732-295-9799Fax: 732-295-1723Toll Free: 888-295-9799Cell: 908-278-0118MermateNewsJODY K. Thanks to allof our well-organized volunteers, thisevent was a joyous occasion for manyClub members. The MRYC Anniversary Cookbookalso made its debut at the Trim-A-Tree and has been flying off the shelvesfor the past month. This hard covercookbook has many tried and true recipessubmitted by members.
