If a TUR value of one is supported and theTUR bit contains one, then a TEST UNIT READY command (see 7.25) shall be used to determine the readiness ofthe device. If a TUR value of one is not supported and the TUR bit contains one, then the EXTENDED COPYcommand shall be terminated with a CHECK CONDITION status. The sense key shall be set to COPY ABORTEDand the additional sense code shall be set to INVALID FIELD IN PARAMETER LIST. The SENSE-KEY SPECIFIC fieldshall be set as described in 7.2.3. If the TUR bit contains zero, then the accessibility should be verified withoutdisturbing established unit attention or ACA conditions, for example, using the INQUIRY command (see 7.3).7.2.7.11 Block device with offset to stream device operationThe segment descriptor format shown in table 38 is used to instruct the copy manager to move data from a blockdevice with a byte offset to a stream device or vice versa.Table 38 — Block device with offset to or from stream device segment descriptorBitByte7 6 5 4 3 2 1 00 DESCRIPTOR TYPE CODE (08h or 09h)1 Reserved CAT2 (MSB)DESCRIPTOR LENGTH (0018h)3 (LSB)4 (MSB)SOURCE TARGET DESCRIPTOR INDEX5 (LSB)6 (MSB)DESTINATION TARGET DESCRIPTOR INDEX7 (LSB)8 Reserved9 (MSB)10STREAM DEVICE TRANSFER LENGTH11 (LSB)12 (MSB)NUMBER OF BYTES15 (LSB)16 (MSB)BLOCK DEVICE LOGICAL BLOCK ADDRESS23 (LSB)24 Reserved25 Reserved26 (MSB)BLOCK DEVICE BYTE OFFSET27 (LSB)The DESCRIPTOR TYPE CODE field is described in 7.2.5 and 7.2.7.1. The data shall be written to the stream device starting at the current position of the media.72 dpANS SCSI Primary Commands - 2 (SPC-2)
