JiříTichý byl odsouzen na šest měsíců.Členka a mluvčí opozičního Nezávislého mírového sdružení, signatářka Charty 77. Roku 1989 bylazatčena během tzv. Palachova týdne – série občanských demonstrací, které vypukly po brutálnímpotlačení vzpomínkové akce na sebeupálení Jana Palacha. V únoru 1989 ji soud poslal na devětměsíců do vězení za údajné výtržnictví a útok na veřejného činitele.Jiří Tichý was a signatory of Charter 77. She was arrested in 1989during the so-called Palach Week – a series of demonstrations that erupted following the brutalsuppression of a commemorative event for Jan Palach, who had set himself alight in protest at theSoviet occupation of Czechoslovakia 20 years before. In February 1989, a court sent her to jail fornine months in a high-level correction facility. Her alleged crime was disorderly conduct and anattack on a public officer.98 | 99
