Během puče měla spolu s dalšími skauty dělat spojku a zajišťovat lékařskéošetření. Byla zatčena a v srpnu 1949 odsouzena na doživotí. Patřila k ženám, které se vzbouřilyproti poměrům v pardubické věznici a napsaly dopisy o podmínkách věznění generálnímutajemníkovi OSN. Na svobodu se dostala roku 1965.Za války utekl z totálního nasazení a v roce 1945 se zapojil do Pražského povstání. Po komunistickémpřevratu ilegálně opustil Československo a vstoupil do služeb americké tajné služby – CIC. Jakoagent-chodec přecházel tajně hranice a přenášel zprávy. Na podzim 1949 byl zatčen a v následujícímroce odsouzen na doživotí. Z vězení vyšel v listopadu 1964.Dagmar Skálová was a scout leader who was convicted for the part she played in an attempt tooverthrow the communist government, which had been prepared by Květoslav Prokeš’s group. Duringthe planned coup, she and other scouts were meant to act as go-betweens and to arrange medicaltreatment for the wounded. She was arrested in August 1949 and sentenced to life imprisonment.She was one of a number of women who revolted against the conditions that prevailed in Pardubicejail and who wrote letters to the General Secretary of the United Nations about the conditions in theprison. She was freed in 1965.During the war, Otakar Rambousek escaped from a forced-labour facility and he took part in thePrague Uprising of 1945. After the communist putsch, he illegally fl ed Czechoslovakia and joinedthe American secret service (CIC). He secretly crossed the border as an undercover agent andrelayed intelligence. He was apprehended in 1949 and sentenced to life imprisonment the followingyear. He was released from jail in November 1964.56 | 57
