Judson claimed the regular season titlewith a 6-1-2 record and a 2-2 overtime tie with IllinoisTech. Judson then was awarded the #1 seed in theCCAC Tournament and defeated Olivet Nazarene, 2-1, in the semi-finals and then shut out St. Xavier, 1-0,for the championship.4th straight naia region viichampionshipAdding to their legacy of the past four years, Judsonalso won their fourth straight NAIA Region VII Championship.They received a #2 seeding and a firstroundbye by winning the CCAC Tournament. Judsondefeated St. Xavier for a third time in a season with a3-1 win in the semi-final match and then scored threegoals in the second half vs. #1 St. Ambrose for a 4-1win. The win gave Judson and automatic berth to theNAIA National Tournament in Kansas City.NAIA National tournament(4th straight appearance)Advancing to their fourth straight NAIA National Tournament,Judson was paired with Mid-Continent (KY)in the first round. Judson had a 1-0 lead at the halfbut two second half goals by Mid-Continent endedJudson’s season at 15-5-3.dominating classThe seniors that led the 2007 team finished theirfour-year career with a combined record of 74-14-6. There were five four-year seniors in Kyle Selph,Steven Moldenhauer, Tim Balatsoukas, and AndrewWeissman and two-year player Mark Howlett. Thefive seniors were also a part of a perfect 2004 seasonwhen Judson went 21-0 and finished at 23-1-1.naia all-americansJudson had another stellar year in the post-seasonawards as three players were named NAIA All-Americans.Senior’s Mark Howlett and Steven Moldenhaueralong with sophomore Gustavo Oliveira werenamed to the NAIA All-American Honorable Mentionteam. It was the second time for both Moldenhauerand Howlett to receive the awards and the fourthstraight year that Judson had a player named all-American.naia all-region viiFor the second year in a row, Mark Howlett wasnamed to the NAIA Region VII 1st-Team. The award goes to a men’s soccer playerthat shows great play on the field, in the classroom,and in the community. He led four Judson players in the top 20as Silva was eighth with 0.48 (10), Gustavo Oliveiraat 10th with 0.42 (10), and Bajic at 20th with 0.23 (5).Judson swept the top three places in assists as Bajicwas first at 0.55 per game (12) followed by GustavoOliveira in second with 0.52 (12) and Aduato Oliveirain third at 0.37 (7). Silva was sixth at 0.29 (6) andHowlett was eighth at 0.27 (6).Neil Thompson finished second in the CCAC in saveswith an average of 4.67 per game. He had 84 savesin 18 games played.
