49Ground fault protectionThe drive is equipped with an internal ground fault protective function to protect theunit against ground faults in the motor and motor cable. This is not a personal safetyor a fire protection feature. The ground fault protective function can be disabled witha parameter, refer to the appropriate ACS800 Firmware Manual. The EMC filter of the drive includes capacitors connected between the main circuitand the frame. These capacitors and long motor cables increase the ground leakagecurrent and may cause fault current circuit breakers to function.Emergency stop devicesFor safety reasons, install the emergency stop devices at each operator controlstation and at other operating stations where emergency stop may be needed.Note: Pressing the stop key ( ) on the control panel of the drive does not generatean emergency stop of the motor or separate the drive from dangerous potential.ACS800-02/U2 with enclosure extension and ACS800-07/U7An emergency stop function is optionally available for stopping and switching off thewhole drive. Two stop categories according to IEC/EN 60204-1 (1997) are available:immediate removal of power (Category 0 for ACS800-02/U2 and ACS800-07/U7)and controlled emergency stop (Category 1 for ACS800-07/U7).Restarting after an emergency stopAfter an emergency stop, the emergency stop button must be released and the drivestarted by turning the operating switch of the drive from position “ON” to “START”.Planning the electrical installation
