The remaining fields of the record(s) shall conform to the format,content, and requirements of the subscribed Domain Name (DOM) used by theagency to which the transmission is being sent.9.1.1 Field 2.001: Record headerThe content of this field depends upon the encoding chosen. Seewww.biometrics.nist.gov/standard for the content of this field for the encodingused. In Traditional encoding, the content is the length of the record. In NIEMconformantencoding it is the record type-number.9.1.2 Field 2.002: Image designation character / IDCThis mandatory field shall be the IDC of the Type-2 record as found in the filecontent (CNT) field of the Type-1 record.9.1.3 Field 2.003 and above: User-defined fieldsIndividual fields required for given transaction types, including field size andcontent, shall conform to the specifications set forth by the agency to which thetransmission is being sent.10 Type-4 fingerprint image recordsThe Type-4 record is based on the use of a captured fingerprint image obtainedusing a scanning resolution that is at least as great as the minimal scanningresolution of 19.69 ppmm (500 ppi) and transmitted between 500 ppi and 520ppi.
