It shall contain a numberfrom the following list:o 0= STR (including X-STR and Y-STR) (indicates presence ofField 18.008)o 1 = mtDNA (indicates presence of Field 18.009)o 2 = elecropherogram image (indicates presence of Field 18.999)o 3 = Other (indicates presence of field 18.010 – User Defined field)• The fourth subfield (Sample Source Indicator / SSI) contains anindicator as to whether the identity of the specimen contributor is known.It is a one-byte Boolean value character: 0 (unknown) or 1 (known).• The fifth subfield (Sample Collection Method / SCM) contains adescription of the method used to collect the DNA sample. It is acharacter string up to 255 characters.• The sixth subfield (Sample Collection Date / SCD) contains the datethat the sample was collected. It is comprised of two information items:o Transaction Time Coordinated Universal Time / GMT 64o Local Date Time / DAT22.7 Field 18.007: DNA Profile Data / DPDThis mandatory field is mandatory. It contains information and structureassociated with the DNA profile data. It is comprised of the following subfields• The first subfield (Date and Time / DTS) 64 is the date that the profile wasstored.• The second subfield (Profile Type / PTP) is a character string.
