ANSI/NIST-ITL 1-2011Data Format for the Interchange of Biometric and Forensic Informationa. Level 30 b. Level 40 c. Levels 50 and 51Figure 27: Examples of resolution for levels 30, 40, & 50/5114.14 Field 10.014: Face image position coordinates within full image / FIPThis is an optional field. If the face image contains more than one face, or is not cropped to a “head only”or “head and shoulders” composition, this optional field contains offsets to thelocation(s) of the bounding box(es) of one or more full or partial face(s) within alarger image. This field is only appropriate for images that do not comply withSAP Levels 30, 40, 50, or 51, because those images are by definition cropped toa “head only” or “head and shoulders” composition. If the image contains more than one face, the first occurrence of this field (firstbounding box) indicates the face of interest; all associated Type-10 fields (e.g.,SFP 10.029, POS 10.020) are limited to the face defined by the first boundingbox in the larger image. This field consists of four (4) mandatory and one (1)optional information item. This field is comprised of five information items:• The first information item (left horizontal coordinate value / LHC) is theleft horizontal offset of the bounding box is relative to the origin positioned in theupper left corner of the image. It is expressed in pixel counts across.• The second information item (right horizontal coordinate value / RHC)is the right horizontal offset of the bounding box is relative to the origin positionedin the upper left corner of the image. It is expressed in pixel counts across.• The third information item (top vertical coordinate value / TVC) is thetop vertical offset of the bounding box relative to the origin positioned in the138DRAFT 2Brad Wing 6/20/10 4:04 PMComment: Reorganized to be consistent withpresentation format
