The highwayimprovements are part of the <strong>2012</strong>/13 neighbourhood programme,funded by Transport for London.Funding has been provided specifically for this project by Transportfor London and it has been designed on the basis of maximisingvalue for money, reducing the costs to the council of maintenanceand repairs, de-cluttering the street environment, and maximisingresidents’ parking.Phase 1 of the works included de-cluttering and accessibilityimprovements and has already been approved at TTCM on 11 June<strong>2012</strong>.This report details the second phase to be approved. The secondphase includes more substantial highway improvement works thanthe first phase including:• Upgrade road point closures (fire barriers),• Improve crossings for school children,• Install new footway paving.• Install cycle racks and plant treesApproximately 25m of parking bay will be gained as a result of theseworks.Cabinet approved expenditure on this scheme within the annual TfLfunded programme on 6 March <strong>2012</strong>, subject to Member approval ofthe detailed proposals.Decision made by Cabinet Member on: 3 September <strong>2012</strong>That approval be given to consult on and implement the highwayimprovements proposed in section 3 of this report (subject to apositive response to consultation) at a total cost of £<strong>10</strong>0,000.Wards: Fulham Reach, Munster, & TownDEPUTY LEADER(+ RESIDENTSSERVICES)Councillor GregSmith18.6 ENVIRONMENT, LEISURE AND RESIDENTS SERVICES :CHANGES TO REGISTRAR’S FEES AND CHARGESThe Registrars service has relocated from Fulham Town Hall toHammersmith Town Hall in order to deliver against the Council’sAsset Management Plan for <strong>2012</strong>/13.
