The Government published in May <strong>2012</strong> the followingdocument Homelessness (Suitability of Accommodation) (England) Order <strong>2012</strong> –Consultation which set out how the Government expected local authorities toconsider the suitability of accommodation for homeless people regarding both itsquality and its location. At the time of preparing this Homelessness Strategy, theGovernment was in the process of considering responses and is expected to publishits final document later in <strong>2012</strong>. Once published, the Council will adopt a procedurenote that will introduce its approach to this issue.2Page 447
