This includes aproperty that has severe damp, major structural defectsincluding subsidence, flooding, collapse of roof, or have livingconditions which are a statutory nuisance, and there is noprospect of the problems being remedied within a 6 month timeperiod.• A private sector property either owned or rented where astatutory notice has been issued by the environmental healthdepartment that an unfit property is to be demolished under theHousing Act 2004.• Where a Council tenant will release a home with two or morebedrooms by moving to a property with fewer bedrooms thanthey currently have.Where a Private Registered Provider (normally a housingassociation) tenant who will release a home with two or morebedrooms are eligible if their landlord agrees that the vacatedproperty can be used for a nomination by the Council• Where a council tenant has to move either temporarily orpermanently whilst major works are undertaken or where theirhome is due to be demolished• Foster carers approved by the Council whose housingprevents them from being able to start, or continue, to providefoster care. This section also includes adopters approved by theCouncil whose housing prevents them being able to becomingor continuing to be an adoptive parent.39Page 422
