Officers arekeen to ensure continuity of provision while the currentimplementation of rehabilitation and continuity of careprogrammes is put into place. Therefore officersconsider that a year’s extension is appropriate toprovide continuity of provision and give the Counciltime to consider the impact of these programmes onour intentions to reduce reliance on residential andnursing provision.A separate report on the exempt Cabinet agendaprovides exempt information regarding the financialand resource implications of the contact.Recommendations:1. That the contract between London Borough ofHammersmith and Fulham and Catalyst HousingAssociation, for the provision of Nursing CareBeds, be extended for a one year period from 1March 2013 to 28 February 2014.2. That the Cabinet Member for Community Care,in consultation with the Tri Borough ExecutiveDirector of Adult Social Care, be authorised tonegotiate any variations to the contract price thatbecome necessary as a result of changes to theservice levels that are required, but notexceeding a total of more than <strong>10</strong>% of thecontract sum subject to the necessary budgetapprovals.AllWardsHAS THE REPORTCONTENT BEEN RISKASSESSED?N/APage 312
