We haveprovided multi-agency scrutiny of thosechildren who have been subject to aplan for over 12 months and the caseswhere parents are non compliant.We have reduced the turnover of staffand the use of agency staff. This hashad a direct and positive impact on thenumber of changes of social workersthat children and their parentsexperience.The length and quality of our childprotection plans have improved. Therecommendations are more easilymeasureable in relation to the progressthat families make in reducing risk totheir children.Ensuring social workers feelconfident in managingpotentially challenging coregroups.Reviewing the work carried outat core groups to ensure thatall agencies are addressingrecommendations betweenconferences, to progress thecp plan effectively.Continuous improvement inrelation to the staff groups,experience and skill andmanaging complex childprotection and riskassessment work. We arepiloting a new qualityassurance framework in<strong>2012</strong>/13 to identify servicestrengths and areas fordevelopment.Ofsted recommendations havebeen fully implementedTeam managers and staff are able toaccess a comprehensive offer oftraining to improve their understandingof the complex issues in risk7
