Suggested Executive Decision: APPROVED.Recommendation Nineteen: Flooding AdviceIt is recommended that the Council continue to offer advice to residentsonline about flood risk. In addition, at times when it is felt flooding riskis more likely to concern the public; the Council should promote thepossible sustainable drainage systems (SUDs) available to residents vialocal and social media. The council should encourage local residents tomaintain and increase the permeability of back gardens by providingadvice and guidance, particularly in those areas most at risk of surfacewater flooding.Suggested Executive Decision: APPROVED.Recommendation Twenty: Flooding IncidentsIt is recommended that, when the Council is alerted to a floodingincident in the borough they should attempt to make direct contact withthose affected and advise them of the possible sustainable drainagesystems (SUDs) available to them.
