Device installationDownload software from http://www.media-tech.eu/products/dvb-t-stick/MT4171, then unpack archiveon your desktop. First run driver installation “Driver/DrvInstall.exe”.Now you can plug <strong>DVB</strong>-T stick into USB port of your PCcomputer. Windows will recognize new hardware andinstall it automatically.Software installationRun “Application/setup.exe”, when following windowappear select installation language and click “OK”.ENWhen following window will appear click “Next”When driver is sucessfully installed click „Finish”.3


ENWhen following window will appear click “Yes” Now select destination folder or simply accept suggestedpath and click “Next”.When following window will appear enter user nameand software license key and click “Next”.Installation in progress...Note! License key is sticked on the quick guide.4When software is sucessfully installed click „Finish”.


Using the devicePlug antenna into <strong>DVB</strong>-T stick. It is recommendedto expose antenna outsideor use external TV antenna. Next plug <strong>DVB</strong>-T stick intoUSB port. Now start application, double click “Total<strong>Media</strong>”icon on windows desktop. Following screen will beshown:Click “Start” to run scanning process.ENScanning in progress...Select and click “TV”. Click “Yes” to scan for channels.5


ENWhen scanning is finished a message box will appear(found channels depend on TV signal strength andcountry). Click “OK”.Click “Yes “ to confirm.Now you can watch TV. Following screen will appear:Now click “Save” to save channel list.6

ENUsing EPG (Electronic Program Guide)Click “EPG” button on Main TV window, followingscreen will appear:You can click “Record” to add this program to schedulerecording list. To exit click “Cancel” button or “Back” button.Click < > buttons to navigate between days, use ∧∨buttons to scroll up/down channel list. Click on selecteditem to show detailed info. Following screen willappear:Schedule record program is marked with red dot asshown below:8


Favorites channelsClick “Channels” button on Main TV window, followingscreen will appear:Click on item to select it. Click “Burn to Disc” button tosave selected item on CD/DVD disc. Double click on selecteditem to watch it in full screen mode.Schedule recordingClick “Schedule” button on Main TV window to accessschedule recording feature. To modify existing entryselect item and click “Modify” button. To enter new recordingtask click “Add” button.ENClick on selected item and then click “Add to Favorites”,press again to deselect. When finished click “OK” to savechanges.Recorded TVClick “Recorded TV” button on Main TV window to accesspreviously recorded programs.Use ∧∨ scroll buttons to enter channel number and frequencyof task (once, weekly, monthly).Enter starting date and hour of task, enter stop time.Mark “Shut down the computer” if you want to enableautomatic shutdown procedure. Click “Save” to confirmtask, click “Cancel” or “Back” button to exit.9


ENTeletextClick “Teletext” button on Main TV window to accessteletext feature. Use ∧∨ scroll buttons to navigate orenter page number using remote control numeric keypad.When you watching another channel and schedule recordingis about to start a message box will pop-up toallow switching to schedule program and start recordprocess. Click “Yes” to allow.10Timeshift featureClick “Pause” button on Main TV window to pausewatched program. Image will freeze and program willbe buffered to temporary file on HDD. To resume clickagain “Pause” button.Record functionClick “Record” button on Main TV window to start recordingprogram. In the right upper corner “REC” willblink. When you try to switch to another channel awarning message box will appear as shown:


Click “Reset TV signal” to start new scanning for channelsprocess.ENClick “Yes” to stop recording and switch to anotherchannel, otherwise click “No”.Settings tabClick “Settings” button on Main TV window to entersettings menu. A warning message box will appearstating that changing some of settings may effect onscheduled or recorded programs in progress. Click “Yes”to continue.Select your country from list and click “Next”.Next you can start new scanning for channels, click“Start”.11


ENEditing channel listClick “Edit Channels” on TV Setting window, followingscreen will appear:Select item, click “A” icon to rename channel, click“trashcan” to delete channel, click ∧∨ to repositionchannel on the list. When finished click “Save”.*Specification and appearance of device are subject to changewithout prior notice.12
