Federal <strong>Energy</strong> and Water Management Award w<strong>in</strong>ners are lead<strong>in</strong>g<br />

the way to greater energy <strong>in</strong>dependence with <strong>in</strong>novations that help<br />

our nation achieve affordable, reliable, and clean energy solutions.<br />

The Awardees have used a number <strong>of</strong> tools to help revolutionize<br />

energy management – from energy audits and energy sav<strong>in</strong>gs<br />

performance contracts … to utility energy service contracts … to<br />

the use <strong>of</strong> distributed generation technologies. The awards described<br />

here are achievements worthy <strong>of</strong> great recognition, and reflect the<br />

efforts <strong>of</strong> thousands <strong>of</strong> men and women who are f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g creative<br />

and resourceful ways to manage energy at U.S. <strong>in</strong>stallations around<br />

the world.<br />

The people and projects honored here show how <strong>in</strong>dividuals, as<br />

good citizens and good federal employees, can cut our nation’s<br />

energy bill, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and <strong>in</strong>crease our<br />

nation’s energy security. <strong>FEMP</strong> is grateful for their work on the<br />

front l<strong>in</strong>es <strong>of</strong> federal energy and facility management.
