The architectural project and systems design of the new<br />
“Light Laboratory” building is based on an energy savingfocused<br />
and environmentally friendly philosophy.<br />
The integrated method adopted, together with an exclusive<br />
use of renewable sources, has achieved a reduction in<br />
CO 2 emissions and a level of energy efficiency producing<br />
savings of 30% compared to a similar building designed<br />
with traditional technology.<br />
Barcelona - Spain<br />
The “il Cielo” <strong>iGuzzini</strong> lighting headquarters in Spain<br />
is the last of a series of constructions that have<br />
adopted sustainable energy and natural and artificial<br />
light management as the cornerstones of their design.<br />
The building, located in the Parque de Actividades<br />
Empresariales Can Sant Joan in Sant Cugat del Vallès,<br />
is the result of optimised energy efficiency, not just in<br />
terms of consumption but also in the way that energy is<br />
generated.<br />
Guildford - UK<br />
The <strong>iGuzzini</strong> UK headquarters was constructed in Guildford<br />
in 2008 according to the principles of sustainable<br />
architecture by adopting a series of technical and design<br />
solutions that have earned the building an impressive<br />
score (71.25%) on the BREEAM (Building Research<br />
Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) scale<br />
used to assess environmental performance in buildings.<br />
