(3) Where the interests of the proceedings so allow, the accused person or the person towhom the communication was sent may be informed about its contents, in full or in part,and the communication may even be handed over to the accused person. If the accusedperson is absent, the communication shall be returned to the sender if it would not becontrary to the interests of the proceedings.(4) The measures referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article shall be reviewed once everythree months, and their total duration may not exceed nine months. The implementationof the measures shall be terminated as soon as the reasons for their application ceaseto exist.Article 86Objects seized during criminal proceedings shall be returned to their owners, or holders,if the proceedings are suspended and there exist no grounds for their confiscation(Article 512). Objects shall be returned to their owners, or holders, even before thecompletion of criminal proceedings, where the reasons for their seizure cease to exist.3. Taking action with suspicious objectsArticle 87(1) Where an object is found with a suspect of accused person that is not theirs and itsowner is not known, the authority conducting the proceedings shall make a description ofthe object and post it on the notice board of the municipal assembly where they areresident and where the criminal offence was committed. In the notice the owner of theobject shall be summoned to appear within one year of the date of its posting, failingwhich the object would be sold. The proceeds form the sale shall go towards the budgetof the judiciary.(2) Where items of substantial value are concerned, notices may also be published indaily newspapers.(3) Where objects are perishable and their keeping would involve substantial costs, theyshall be sold pursuant to provisions applying to enforcement proceedings, and theproceeds placed in a court deposit.(4) The provisions of paragraph 3 of this Article shall also be applied if the objectbelongs to a fugitive offender or to an unknown offender.Article 88(1) If no one appears to claims objects or proceeds from their sale within one year’stime, a ruling shall be issued under which the objects shall become the property of thestate, or the proceeds shall go towards the budget of the judiciary.(2) An object’s owner is entitled to file a civil suit for the return of that object or theproceeds from its sale. The prescription period of this entitlement shall begin to run onthe date of publication of the notice.
