Reset Turnitin Assignments

Reusing Turnitin AssignmentsTurnitin assignments can now be imported with your course import and will not cause the import to fail.Once you have imported the course and click on your Turnitin assignment you will see a noticeinforming you that there is a problem with the assignment. Essentially, the new Turnitin assignment isstill connected to the old assignment in the course from which you imported your content. To fix thisyou will reset the assignment using the Reset Option in the Administration Block. We recommend thatyou reset the assignments prior to making any changes to the course so that you do not inadvertentlyreset other items you may have updated.After completing the course import:1. Click “Reset” in the Administration Block

2. Do not click any options on the “Reset course” page, leave everything as it is and scroll to thebottom of the window.

3. In the Turnitin Assignments section leave the default “Copy Turnitin Assignments (CreateDuplicates, New Turnitin Class)”4. Click the “Reset course” button at the bottom of the window.5. You will receive confirmation that the assignment was successfully reset (Status OK). If you havea number of Turnitin Assignments this may take a few minutes. Please be patient.6. You can now go into your assignment summary and reset the open, due and post dates for thecurrent term. Be sure to also check your assignment settings (Moodle settings) to ensure theyare set as you desired.
