9.6 CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO APPLY ONLINE THROUGH GAIL WEBSITE:www.gailonline.com only, indicating their GATE-2013 Registration Number.No other means / mode of application shall be accepted. Website will beopen from 1000 hrs on 06.12.2012 to 2400 hrs on 15.01.2013.9.7 A Candidate can apply for one post/discipline only. Candidates applying formore than one post/ discipline will not be considered.9.8 After successful submission of online application by the candidate, a uniqueregistration number shall be generated by the system and a message shall bedisplayed in the system that the online application has been submittedsuccessfully and an auto generated email mentioning the unique registrationnumber shall reach to the candidate informing that his/her application hasbeen submitted successfully.9.9 After applying online, candidate is required to take a print out of theApplication Form generated by the system with unique registration number,space for affixing photograph and signature and other details. The candidatehas to affix his/her recent passport size colour photograph and put his/hersignature at the space provided and keep it with him/her safely. Candidatescalled for Group Discussion and/or Interview will be required to produce thesame documents at the time of Group Discussion and/or Interview.9.10 The passport size photograph affixed by the candidate should be same assubmitted along with GATE-2013 application form. In case, the candidate iscalled for Group Discussion and/or Interview, he/she will be required toproduce his/her original GATE-2013 admit card, GATE-2013 official scoreCard, printout of the online application form as indicated above (clause no.9.9) and other relevant documents which will be communicated throughinterview call letter. In case, any candidate fails to produce the abovedocuments at the time of Group Discussion and/or interview, his/hercandidature will not be considered.9.11 There is no separate fee for applying for the above posts of ExecutiveTrainees in GAIL9.12 Before applying for the post, candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills theeligibility criteria and other conditions mentioned in this advertisement. GAILwould be free to reject any application at any stage of the recruitmentprocess, if the candidate is found ineligible for the post for which he/she hasapplied.9.13 Furnishing of wrong/false/incomplete information in the onlineapplication will lead to disqualification of the candidate and GAIL will notbe responsible for any of the consequences of furnishing such wrong/false/ incomplete information. Since all the applications will be screenedwithout documentary evidence/proof, the candidates must satisfythemselves of the suitability for the position to which they are applying. Ifat any stage during the recruitment and selection process and thereafter,it is found that the candidates have furnished wrong / false/ incompletePage 6 of 8
information, their candidature will be rejected and any other action asdeemed fit may be taken against them.9.14 The candidates should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility criteria andother conditions as specified above and that the particulars furnished bythem in the online application are correct in all respects. Mere submissionof online application successfully does not imply that the Company (GAIL)has been satisfied about the candidate’s eligibility. In case it is detected atany stage of the selection process that a candidate does not fulfill any ofthe eligibility criteria, and / or that he / she has furnished any incorrectinformation or has suppressed any material fact(s), his / her candidaturewill stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings(s) is /are detected evenafter appointment, his / her services will be summarily terminated.10 OTHER TERMS & CONDITIONS AND GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:10.1 Request for change of Mailing address/ e-mail ID/ category/ discipline asdeclared in the online application will not be entertained.10.2 Candidates should possess a valid e-mail ID. Candidates are advised to keepthe e-mail ID (to be entered compulsorily in the online application form)active for at least one year. No change in the e-mail ID will be allowed onceentered. All future correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. Responsibilities of receiving, downloading and printing ofinformation/ communication etc. will be of the candidate. GAIL will not beresponsible for any loss of e-mail sent, due to invalid / wrong e-mail IDprovided by the candidate.10.3 Category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) once filled in the online application form willnot be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.The reserved category candidates and PWD candidates are required tosubmit requisite caste/ tribe/PWD certificate in the prescribed format ofGovernment of India, issued by Competent Authority, at the time ofInterview, if called for the same.10.4 The OBC candidates who belong to “CREAMY LAYER” are not entitled forOBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as“General”. The OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates are required to submitrequisite certificate (latest) in the prescribed format of Government of Indiaissued by Competent Authority at the time of Interview, if called for thesame. The name of the Caste and Community indicated in the OBC (NCL)Certificate must appear in the Central List of Other Backward Classes.Further, OBC (NCL) candidates will have to give a self undertaking indicatingthat they belong to OBC (Non Creamy Layer) category at the time ofInterview, if called for the same.10.5 Relaxations / Reservations for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/PWD(Degree of disability 40% and above) as per Government Directives areapplicable.Page 7 of 8
