HOHNER Company Orchestra
Originally initiated by HOHNER, the accordion orchestra movement is
an integral part of accordion music. The traditional, classical “Hohner
Akkordeon Orchester 1927” and the modern Orchestra “Hohnerklang”
continue to enjoy unbridled popularity.
The most recent addition to the accordion orchestra family is the “HOHNER
Company Orchestra” founded in 2009. Despite its recent establishment,
the HOHNER Company Orchestra, consisting only of HOHNER employees,
has already given numerous successful performances.
"... a living breathing timeline that takes me
back to when my grandfather gave me my
first harmonica when I was 8, to the present
where I'm fortunate enough to be a part of
creating new HOHNER products, and into the
future where HOHNER will continue to make
memories for millions of people around the
world with great instruments."
Bart Thomas, Graphic Designer, Hohner Inc.
“... to help build instruments on which every year
hundreds of thousands of children take their first
steps in music.”
Elisabeth Mayer, recorder production
“... living out my inventive talent in my profession
to create products which will bring people joy.”
Erwin Ginter, pattern making workshop, HMI
“... a musical culture which connects up the whole world.
From traditional reed instruments like the harmonica to stringed
instruments such as guitar or ukelele, HOHNER makes them all!”
Nadine Ardesi, HOHNER-SONOR AG Schweiz
“... aspiration and passion. A place where it's
possible to combine musicality and career.”
Stefan Bussardt, trainee
Harmonica Production HMI
“... team spirit, shared values and the joy of music.”
Sabrina Renz, administration
Harmonica Courses for Employees
At HOHNER, internal courses offer every employee the opportunity to
learn to play harmonica. Instructors from the environs of the HOHNER
Conservatory come to the factory once a week to teach diatonic and
chromatic harmonica to various groups of both beginners and more
advanced players.
Numerous staff members are glad to take advantage of the opportunity to
get to know the instruments which they develop, manufacture, distribute or
advertise, and experience them from the point of view of the player.
