Tyler BernadiniBig 5 Rookie <strong>of</strong> the Year2007-08 PENN ATHLETIC HONORSBASEBALLWOMEN’S BASKETBALLIt was a historic season for Tyler Bernardini,who averaged more points per game as afreshman than any player in the men’s basketballprogram’s illustrious history (12.9).Not surprisingly, he made more historythe night <strong>of</strong> April 21 when he was honoredwith the Dave Zink<strong>of</strong>f Award as the PhiladelphiaBig 5 Rookie <strong>of</strong> the Year. Bernardinibecame the first <strong>Penn</strong> player to receive theaward, which has been given every yearsince 1999.He earned the honor after finishing theseason second on the team in scoring,and putting up 18 double-figure scoringgames including six contests with 20 ormore points.
