Who we areYoung ICT explorer is a non-profit competition for Schoolstudents in Years 4 – 12 in New South Wales Queensland andnow Victoria for 2013. It is an opportunity for students toproduce and display their best Information andCommunication Technology related projects, with the chanceto win great prizes and acclaim from their peers as well asacademic and industry leaders in the field. We aim to inspireand encourage school students to get more involved indeveloping ICT projects.Why your School should get involved?••It’s free to enter & there is no cost to your school.••Young ICT Explorers compliments the schoolcurriculum.••It inspires creativity and collaboration, the sharing ofideas and knowledge.••Great Prizes can be won. Students in the winningproject teams receive prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd place,plus additional awards on the day.••The 1st place project in each division also wins theirschool a prize (2012 was an iPad!)••Great networking opportunity to meet other dynamicICT teachers and educators, students can mingle withsimilarly inspired young minds.The CompetitionThe scope of subjects in the competition is broad; thisencourages greater participation and creativity through alldifferent forms of technology. We welcome all kinds ofprojects providing they have a clear link to ICT. Students cancompete individually or in project teams of up to four students.Students are competing in 4 year divisions:NSW and VicQldYears 4-6 Years 4-5Years 7-8 Years 6-7Years 9-10 Years 8-9Years 11-12 Years 10-12How to RegisterRegistration is now open; Teachers can registeryour school, students participating and the projectson our website before the 31st of May 2013.
