RoHS, TR, WR and IP Meanings General Technical DataTechnical DataRoHS, TR, WR and IP MeaningsRoHSWRRoHS - Restriction of Hazardous SubstancesThis EU Directive, 2002/95/EC, prohibits the use of mercury, cadmium, lead, chromium VI, PBB (polybrominatedbiphenyls) and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ethers) in certain electrical products. The regulatorymaximums for these items are 0.01%, by weight, for cadmium and 0.1%, by weight, for the other five itemsin each "homogenous unit" contained within that product. There are certain exemptions available from theRoHS requirements.Tamper Resistant ReceptaclesPer the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC ® ) Article 406.11; All 125 volt, 15 and 20 amp receptacles indwelling units shall be a listed tamper resistant type.
