6ATHLETE WRISTBANDA wristband will be fixed to your wrist at athlete check-in. This band will identify you as an official participantand must be worn during the event days. The wristband allows you access to the carb dinner, transition areaand post-race athlete recovery area. You will not be allowed to remove your bicycle and/or gear from thetransition area following the race without your wristband fixed to your wrist. Please do not remove yourwristband until after the awards ceremony.ATHLETEPERSONAL SAFETYAlways train with at least one other person (especially in the open water). While swimming, please wear abrightly colored swim cap and ensure that your family members and/or friends know where you are.When training, please bike and run on the hard shoulder without moving into the traffic lane. Please becourteous and aware that the people sharing the roads with you are people you will count on during race dayto fulfill your physical and emotional needs. Please ride single file, as biking side by side is illegal.As you are one of Cozumel’s guests, please respect and obey the traffic laws during your training practices.If you violate these laws you may be sanctioned. You are required to carry proper identification at all times. Ifyou are stopped, you must present your identification to the inquiring officer. Failure to do so may result inrace disqualification. Your cooperation is appreciated.AFTER SWIM AND RUNNING GEAR BAG’SDuring athlete check-in you will receive two bags:• Clear Bag: pre- race clothes (this will be given on race day to those who have requested itbeforehand).• Gray Bag: morning clothes bag (swimming gear)• Blue Bag: running gear
