The vehicle must comply with all the safety provisions of the Tattersall’s Finke DesertRace Supplementary Regulations as appropriate to the vehicle type.2. The vehicle speed is not to exceed a maximum safe speed <strong>for</strong> the prevailing roadconditions.3. The vehicle shall comply with any speed restrictions relevant to the proposed route oftravel.4. The vehicle must be operated in accordance with the <strong>Road</strong> Event Permit issued to theorganiser of the event.5. No travel is to be carried out during times of darkness or conditions of poor visibility.6. The vehicle must not be operated outside its manufacturer’s, component or design ratingsor limitations.7. The driver/rider must hold an appropriate and current licence <strong>for</strong> the vehicle.8. This temporary licences is to be carried during the journey and produced on demand.9. The driver/rider of the vehicle must comply with all directions of Police and AuthorisedDepartmental <strong>Off</strong>icers.Proposed Route:That part of the Old South <strong>Road</strong> from Rodinga to Finke (Aputula) Community and return: Theroute includes a corridor extending along the part of the road, being the width of 50 metres onlyon either side of an imaginary line, between route markers erected by the organisers.Note:Please be aware that the reconnaissance route is a public road which may be used by generaltraffic and pedestrians.The above conditions are deemed necessary due to the hazard that this type of vehicle couldpresent to its occupants or other road users.Date of Effect – April 2008
