<strong>SR8</strong>-Plus Operation <strong>Manual</strong>73-100-810-I8.12 Idler PulleysThe <strong>SR8</strong>-Plus has 6 idler pulleys, which should be checked when replacing belts for smoothrotation.To inspect the idler pulleys (use previous instructions in this section for more detail):1. <strong>Manual</strong>ly adjust the motor speed to 0.0RPM (stopped).2. Remove cover.3. Remove the 3 belts.4. Turn each of the idler pulleys indicated by hand to verify that each moves freely andsmoothly. If any of the idler pulleys do not rotate smoothly, remove grip ring, inspectbearings and shaft for wear. If bearings are dry, lubricate with grease. If you need help,contact your local service engineer or Hanson Research.5. Replace the belts.6. Replace cover.8.13 Fuse ReplacementThe fuses are located below the power switch on the right-hand side of the controller. Eachsystem has four fuses. The amperage is labeled next to the fuse. Notice that the amperageof the fuses is dependent upon the voltage of the system.NOTE: For continued protection against risk of fire, replace the fuse(s) with same type andcurrent rating. Do not over-tighten the fuse holder.To check the fuses and replace a defective fuse,1. For fuse holders with finger grip knobs, push in and slightly turn counter-clockwise toremove the holder.2. Visual inspection of the fuse is not conclusive; always use an ohm meter to confirm if afuse is defective.Section 8 Maintenance and Calibration – 62 –
