Ifchanges are made to a protocol with password protection enabled, the revision ofthat protocol will be updated.To edit the parameters of an existing protocol:1. With the Main screen displayed, press [EDIT/VIEW PROTOCOL] to display theEdit Protocol screen.2. Use [↑] and/or [↓] to highlight the desired protocol and press [ENTER].3. As you step through the protocol screens, select the number on each screen to changethe desired parameters and move to the next screen by pressing [ENTER].4. When the desired parameter(s) have been changed, press [ESC] and again [ESC] toreturn to the Main screen.5.22 Viewing Protocol ParametersTo view protocol parameters:1. With the Main screen displayed, press [EDIT/VIEW PROTOCOLS] to display theEdit Protocol screen.2. Use [↑] and/or [↓] to highlight the desired protocol and press [ENTER].3. The Operation Parameters screen is displayed. Press [ENTER] to step through each ofthe Protocol screens to view each entry.5.23 Running A TestThe user may run a test either by simply starting a protocol stored in memory, or using themanual timer. The first option is an automated approach that should be used to startfrequently used procedures. Starting a protocol has the following advantages:1. Ensures that the critical test parameters are selected correctly every time and cannot bechanged by the operator (when Security is enabled);2. Enables the user to monitor USP tolerances during the test;3. Automatically prints pertinent test data at the beginning of the test;4. Automatically prints Hi/Low/Avg speed and temperature at the end of the test;5. Allows the user to program sampling alarms;Section 5 Operation and Programming – 40 –
