SR8-Plus Operation Manual73-100-810-ICalibration AlarmThe calibration alarm is used to alert the user when the calibration must be done to validatethe system. To set the calibration alarm:1. With the Main screen displayed, press [CLOCK] to display the SystemAlarm/Timers screen.2. Press [4] to select "Calibration Alarm". The Calibration Alarm screen is displayed.3. Input the date, time and recurrence for the next calibration. Follow each input with[ENTER].When the date and time are reached, the user is alerted of the alarm by an audible sound, apop-up window on the screen, and illumination of the "Timer Alert" status light on the display.Canceling an AlarmAn alarm that has been set, but has not become due, can be canceled by displaying the inputscreen and pressing [CLR].Acknowledging an AlarmWhen an alarm is triggered, the "Timer Alert" status light is illuminated and a warning windowis displayed momentarily. The window is displayed again every few seconds and the audiblebeep is sounded until the alarm is acknowledged. To acknowledge the alarm:1. Press [CLOCK]. The alarm pop-up window is displayed one last time.2. Press any key to acknowledge the alarm and turn the "Timer Alert" light off.3. Press [ESC] to return to the Main screen.NOTE: This does not apply to Sampling Alarms.Section 5 Operation and Programming – 37 –

With the Main screen displayed, press [EDIT/VIEW PROTOCOL] to display theEdit Protocol screen. (see Figure 5-7)Figure 5-7: Edit Protocol Screen2. Input a protocol number which is not displayed on the scroll and press [ENTER]. TheOperation Parameters screen is displayed. Notice that the selected protocol number isdisplayed in the folder on the left-hand corner of the screen, along with an open orclosed lock if the password protection is enabled.A series of input screens are displayed. Select the number on each screen to input thedesired parameters and move to the next screen by pressing [ENTER].NOTE: You can move between parameter input screens by pressing [→] and [←].5.20 Entering Protocol ParametersThe parameters are input in the following order:1. Drive Speed - Input the drive speed. Range: 0, 25-250RPM2. Bath Temperature - Input the bath temperature. Range: 0, 30-40°C3. Test Length - Input the total time for the test, but not including the optional infinity test.Range: 0-999:59 (Hours:Minutes)4. Print Interval - This allows the status conditions (elapsed time, system I.D., speed, andtemperature) to be printed at the designated interval during the test. Range: 0-99:59(Hours:Minutes) or at sample time. If the SR8-Plus has Digital Temperature Probes,these probes will take the temperature of each vessel, which will then be printed.Section 5 Operation and Programming – 38 –
