5.0 IMPLEMENTATION5.1 Staging StrategyThe preliminary proposals as described in the Concept Masterplan comprise a range <strong>of</strong>potential improvements with varying community and environmental priority. Thefollowing works action plan assigns priority to the proposals based on those, which are<strong>of</strong> most immediate community benefit, with lower priority items to be implemented asbudgetary and funding opportunities allow.Ultimately implementation will be influenced by budgetary availability and should besubject to ongoing monitoring and review by Council.Detailed management principles are set out in the <strong>Management</strong> Strategy Framework(section 6.1.2).• Further investigations:- Aboriginal Heritage Investigation- Interpretive Strategy- <strong>Park</strong> detailed design / documentation• Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre redevelopment (underway)• <strong>Park</strong> elements related to pool complex refurbishment:- Grassed terrace- Pool forecourt and plaza space- Café terrace• East-west path upgrade• Rocket play space upgrade (commencing May 2010)• Picnic area upgradePhase Two Priorities• Rondel upgrade• Llewellyn Street and Victoria Road frontage works• <strong>Enmore</strong> Road to Llewellyn Street / Black Street intersection path upgrade• Northern slopes grassed area improvements• <strong>Enmore</strong> Road frontage works / improvements• New picnic shelterPhase Three Priorities• Rondel planting displays• Reinstatement <strong>of</strong> radial planting displays• Bus shelter path link• Heritage entry improvements• Relocation <strong>of</strong> Children’s Resource CentreOngoing maintenance and tree managementOngoing works to address day to day maintenance and replacement <strong>of</strong> fixtures andfurniture as required.
