3.0 MANAGEMENT STRATEGIESTemporary Licences (refer Section 108, Crown <strong>Land</strong>s Act 1989)Temporary licences may apply to any area (or part) within <strong>Enmore</strong> <strong>Park</strong>. Thisplan <strong>of</strong> management expressly authorises the granting <strong>of</strong> Temporary licences,subject to Council (as the reserve trust manager) approval, which fall within thefollowing categories:• markets;• concerts;• community, educational activities and uses for single one <strong>of</strong>f events;• the playing <strong>of</strong> a musical instrument, or singing for fee or reward;• engaging in a trade or business;• delivering a public address;• commercial photographic session;• picnics and private celebrations such as weddings and family gatherings;• filming for cinema or television and• Special events associated with the aquatic centre and/or Cafe.When deciding about granting a temporary licence, Council as the reserve trustmanager must ensure that:i) the use / activity is in the public interest;ii) the use / activity would not cause any significant detrimental impact on thepark or on the local community;iii) no permanent building or structure is erected; andiv) the use or activity complies with the reserves use for public recreation asper the Crown <strong>Land</strong>s Act 1989, and any other relevant Federal and Statelegislation.31 Marrickville CouncilOctober 2012
