ENMORE PARK – PLAN OF MANAGEMENTExisting leases and licencesThis plan <strong>of</strong> management authorises existing leases and licences which havebeen granted by the <strong>Enmore</strong> <strong>Park</strong> Reserve Trust (managed by MarrickvilleCouncil) for <strong>Enmore</strong> <strong>Park</strong>.• The current licence (expiring July 2011) with Belgravia Leisure for theAnnette Kellerman Aquatic Centre, is hereby authorised.The pool facility is well utilised by the local community and its redevelopment willbe compatible with the principles <strong>of</strong> Crown land management.Authorisation <strong>of</strong> Leases and LicencesRefer also Figure 3.1Annette Kellerman Aquatic CentreThe Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre is authorised to be leased / licensed forthe purposes <strong>of</strong> public recreation and / or associated activities, to Council, asuitable organisation, club or co-operative for the benefit <strong>of</strong> the Marrickville andwider community generally. The lease shall include management andmaintenance <strong>of</strong> the public toilet facility.The maximum lease / licence period shall generally be 20 years, although up to50 years may be considered upon submission and approval <strong>of</strong> an appropriatebusiness case.Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre - CaféThe Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre café area including paved terrace andsteps is authorised to be leased / licenced for the purposes <strong>of</strong> a café / kiosk, toCouncil, a suitable organisation, club or co-operative for the benefit <strong>of</strong> theMarrickville and wider community generally.The maximum lease / licence period shall generally be 10 years.<strong>Enmore</strong> Children's CentreThe <strong>Enmore</strong> Children's Centre is authorised to be leased / licensed forcommunity purposes including childcare and / or associated activities, to asuitable organisation, club or co-operative for the benefit <strong>of</strong> the Marrickville andwider community generally.The maximum lease / licence period shall be 5 years.EventsCurrent events such as the Australia Day Festival held by Council, are importantin encouraging use and awareness <strong>of</strong> the recreational opportunities <strong>of</strong> <strong>Enmore</strong><strong>Park</strong>. Use <strong>of</strong> the park for community events would be subject to the Council’sevent approval / management policies and may be subject to a DevelopmentApplication process to assess impacts.Environmental Partnership 30October 2012
