URBAN FORESTRY AUSTRALIA - TREE MANAGEMENT & CONSULTING ARBORICULTURISTS6 RECOMMENDATIONS6.1 Tree Removal6.1.1 Removal <strong>of</strong> trees within the, or close to the footprint are to be removed asindicated in the Schedule <strong>of</strong> Assessed Trees – Appendix C. Other treesidentified for removal (e.g. exempt from protection under Tree PreservationOrder or <strong>of</strong> low landscape value), are to be removed at the discretion <strong>of</strong> theCouncil in conjunction with advice from the project landscape architect.6.2 Specific Recommendations6.2.1 Refer to the ‘comments’ column in the Schedule <strong>of</strong> Assessed Trees -Appendix C, for details <strong>of</strong> recommendations <strong>of</strong> works to trees.6.2.3 Pruning <strong>of</strong> the trees is to be carried out in accordance with AustralianStandard 4373-2007 Pruning <strong>of</strong> Amenity Trees, and in liaison with anAustralian Qualification Framework Level 5 (AQF5) arboriculturist.6.2.4 Trees 37 and 38Final locations and construction methods for proposed barbecue andconcrete slabs or other structures within the TPZ <strong>of</strong> Trees 37 and 38 are tobe assessed and approved by an AQF5 arboriculturist, prior to any worksundertaken beneath the trees.The arboriculturist is to provide specific protection advice, prior to any workscommencing inside the TPZ <strong>of</strong> the trees.6.2.5 Tree 36Proposed paving within the TPZ <strong>of</strong> Tree 36 is to be either deleted, orsubject to further detailed assessment and design to ensure the existingground within the root zone is not subject to level changes, and adequateair and water movement is available to the tree roots.The arboriculturist is to provide specific protection advice, prior to any workscommencing inside the TPZ <strong>of</strong> the trees.Arboricultural Audit & Development Impact Assessment– Annette Kellerman Aquatic Centre, <strong>Enmore</strong> <strong>Park</strong>February, 2009. 15 <strong>of</strong> 42
