URBAN FORESTRY AUSTRALIA - TREE MANAGEMENT & CONSULTING ARBORICULTURISTS3 ARBORICULTURAL ASSESSMENT3.1 Brief Description <strong>of</strong> Existing Trees3.1.1 The most significant, and what would be termed ‘landmark’ plantings, arethose <strong>of</strong> the large Ficus macrophylla (Moreton Bay Fig) and Ficusrubiginosa (Port Jackson Fig) trees at the northeast and southeast corners<strong>of</strong> the area that is subject <strong>of</strong> this assessment.Most <strong>of</strong> these trees were present in 1943, as noted on slide 7 <strong>of</strong> the AnnetteKellerman Aquatic Centre power point documentation.3.1.2 The plantings along the east boundary, facing Black Street, consist mainly<strong>of</strong> large, mature Melaleuca quinquenervia (Broad-leaved Paperbark), and afew mature Brush Boxes.
