Sharing, Learning and Networking: There is a need to move away from a competitiveindividualistic service to cooperative and collective approaches that facilitate skills transferand service integration, which would also contribute to sustainability as well as meet thetrans<strong>for</strong>mation imperative. A network or <strong>for</strong>um could also be used to connect homes with one another. In thisway white homes could <strong>for</strong>m a support process <strong>for</strong> black homes. At the same time homes could link up and do bulk buying or joint training programmesas well as „job shadowing‟ to exchange ideas about proper cooking methods, dietsand hygiene. These would help to pool resources and be less expensive to oneorganisation.15. Appropriate Model <strong>of</strong> CareIt is difficult to propose a model <strong>of</strong> care when the majority <strong>of</strong> homes do not comply with theminimum standards according to the norms and standards. Homes were unanimous that ifthey were to comply with the norms and standards that they would require a considerableboost <strong>of</strong> funding from government.
