ROMASliding doorsFor refrigeration and freezer cellsSealed tight in just one movement

Select materials forreliabilityROMA-sliding doors are safe, reliable and easy to maintain. Each door is comprised of arigid PUR foam inner layersurrounded by diffusion-tightmetal top layers made ofgalvanised and plastic-coatedsteel panels, stainless steel oraluminium. The hardware -made of anodised aluminiumor stainless steel - is corrosionresistant. The frame and floorsealing strips are permanentlyelastic, very pliable and temperatureresistant. The handles on both sidesof the door are completelyseparated in thermal termsto prevent cold bridges. An optionallock is also available toprotect the door against breakingand entering, whereby theintegrated emergency releasemechanism ensures that thedoor can always be openedfrom the inside at any time.Electric frame heating providesthe door frame and thresholdwith reliable protectionagainst freezing. All the materialscomply with stringenthygiene requirements and thedoors are compliant with thesafety requirements of practicallyevery country in Europe. What is more, continuousfurther developments byROMA set new benchmarksall the time when it comes tosafety and reliability.Well-conceived designsoffer smooth operationROMA sliding doors are madeup of four assemblies: railprofile, running carriage, coldinsulation door with sealingprofiles and mechanical operatingcomponents. The runningcarriage runs on the rail, analuminium profile which is openat the bottom and featuresintegrated rubber buffers. Oneffortless opening the door leafpushes smoothly away fromall the contact surfaces of theframe at an angel of 45° andmoves off to the side withouta sound on ball-bearingsupported rollers. At the endpositions the residual motiveenergy is absorbed by rubberbuffers. Closing, too, requiresno more than a single movementof the hand to activatea maximum of closing force. The door glides back, lowersunder its own weight andcloses without any furtherapplication of force. Theframe seal presses uniformlyand smoothly against the doorframe and the floor sealingstrip slots equally seamlessly.into the threshold area. Thedoor is now sealed.2

User-friendliness ensureseconomical proceduresThe effortless, quick use ofROMA sliding doors ensuressmooth operations and thereforeeconomical procedures. Werecommend the installation of afully-automated electric systemwith an electronic controller ifthe door is opened many timesevery day. The door can thenbe opened and closed either byhand-operated button or pullswitch. The maintenance-freegeared motor is permanentlyinstalled on the rail. A soft startand electronic braking provideadditional protection for thematerials and greater operationalreliability. On top of that, thedrive torque, personnel accessand supply can be controlledelectronically. Connections forradio, remote control, radar, photocell, magnetic loop, contactthreshold, etc. are also possible ifrequired.Easy installation savestime and moneyThe ease with which ROMAsliding doors can be installed isa real advantage, especially formodernisation work. All thatis needed is a wall opening ofsufficient size, regardless of thebuilding. The two-part ROMAclamp frame is screwed in placeand is easily flexible enough evenfor big construction tolerances.Installing the rail and adjustingand, if necessary, readjusting thedoor leaf are also easily done. This means that old or sluggishdoor structures can be replacedwithout having to interruptoperations, waste energy or putthe refrigerated products at anyrisk. For prefabricated structures, cold stores and freezer cells too,ROMA sliding doors are quick toinstall.3

ROMA sliding doorscannot fail to impress...... in terms of economy:because they optimise operations, reduce costs and are rugged andlong lasting, corrosion-resistant,low-wearing and maintenancefriendly....in terms of user-friendliness:because they require little effortto open and close with just onehand or fully automatically....in terms of reliability:because they are sealed tight andprovide optimum refrigerationinsulation....in terms of versatility:because they are suitable forspecific climate conditions and alltypes of design. As tailor-madedoors they offer the perfect solutionfor every situation....in terms of hygiene:because all the materials complywith stringent hygiene requirements.A construction withpractically no dirt edges ensuresthat the sliding door is easy toclean.4
