Installing the Control Program<strong>Installation</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Commissioning</strong>If Query is selected, make sure that all required options are installed. Note thatsome of these options also require installation of other options. Rejecting of proposedoptions during installation may cause an incomplete robot installation.4. The robot performs a warm start when installation is finished.Wait until the welcome window appears on the display before doing anything. Thewarm start can take up to 2 minutes after the installation display ready.5. Load the specific installation parameters from the Controller Parameter disk orcorresponding.After the control program has been installed, the diskettes should be stored in asafe place in accordance with the general rules for diskette storage. Do not storethe diskettes inside the controller to avoid damaged from heat <strong>and</strong> magnetic fields.6. Conclude the installation with updating the revolution counters according to section2.15.4.2 Calibration of the manipulatorCalibrate the manipulator according to section 2.15.4.3 Cold startTo install the control program in a robot already in operation the memory must be emptied.Besides disconnecting the batteries for a few minutes, the following method canbe used:1. Select the Service window2. Select File: Restart3. Then enter the numbers 1 3 4 6 7 94. The fifth function key changes to C-Start (Cold start)5. Press the key C-StartIt will take quite some time to perform a Cold start. Just wait until the robot starts the<strong>Installation</strong> dialog, see 4.1.1.Do not touch any key, joystick, enable device or emergency stop until you areprompted to press any key.86 Product Manual IRB 1400
