<strong>Installation</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Commissioning</strong>Connecting Signals3.18.2 Ethernet communication, DSQC 336The ethernet communication board has two options for ethernet connection.Connector X4 is used for connection of twisted-pair Ethernet (TPE), or as defined inIEEE 802.3 : 10BASE-T. Maximum node-to-node distance 100 meter. The ethernetcommunication board has no termination for cable screen. Cable screen must begrounded at cabinet wall with a cable gl<strong>and</strong>. 10BASE-T is a point-to-point net, connectedvia a HUB.Connector X11 is used for connection of transceivers with AUI (Attachment UnitInterface). Typical use of this connector is connection of transceivers for 10BASE2(CheaperNet, Thinnet, Thinwire Enet, - 0.2 inch, 50 ohm coax with BNC connector)or optical fibre net.
