Omneon Technical support may wish to view one of these logs to determine the root cause of the problem. The following three log files are used most often when troubleshooting. Requirements This section lists the requirements for installing and using an Omneon MediaGrid. Network Configuration Information This section lists site-specific information required to join an Omneon MediaGrid system to a Windows domain and to incorporate Omneon MediaGrid into an existing network. This information is provided for both customers and the installers. This information must be available prior to Omneon MediaGrid installation. Public VLAN Before installing your MediaGrid system, you must allocate an IP address range for the MediaGrid Public VLAN. The Public VLAN is an IP subnet, which will be visible by all parts of the network that access the MediaGrid. Make sure the Public VLAN is dedicated to MediaGrid components, and accessible by clients that will access the MediaGrid. See Figure 1 for an example. Omneon MediaGrid Version 3.1.1 13
