Accessing the Omneon MediaGrid Table 4. Mount Options Additional Mount Options for Macintosh The following file system mounting options are available using the Macintosh FSD. IMPORTANT: Do not modify any of the values in this table without first contacting Technical Support. Option Description username=abc Specify the required user name. You are prompted for a user name if it is not specified. password=abc Specify the required password. You are prompted for a password if it is not specified. domain=abc Specify the Windows domain name. readahead=n Specify the number of slices to cache with read-ahead caching. Supported numbers are n>=0. The default is 3. • For n>=1, n many slices are cached. • For n=0, 256k bytes of data are cached. Some degree of caching is required to maintain acceptable system performance. allnic/multinic Specify the use of all interfaces in the machine. There is no option to specify explicitly which interfaces to use. iflist Specify a list of network interfaces, separated by a colon, “:”. For example, iflist=a:b where a and b are the names of different network interfaces. attrcache=abc Specify the maximum timeout for attribute cache in seconds. readDataPriority=abc Specify read data priority. Mounting an Omneon MediaGrid File System Using Linux Follow these steps to mount the Omneon MediaGrid file system from a Linux computer. These instructions assume you have installed the Omneon MediaGrid FSD for Linux. Refer to Connecting Clients to Omneon MediaGrid Using ContentBridge for instructions on mounting an Omneon MediaGrid file system without using the Omneon MediaGrid FSD for Linux. To mount an Omneon MediaGrid file system: 1. Use the type “omfs” in the mount command to access the Omneon MediaGrid file system, for example: mount –t omfs /mediagrid/filesys /mnt –o username=username,password=password NOTE: This information is case-sensitive. The following file system mounting options are available using the Macintosh FSD.<br />
